Content & Listing Guidelines

Last updated: 16 July 2026

These guidelines keep TinTorch Lists accurate and trustworthy. They apply to every listing, review, photo, and other contribution. Content that breaks them may be edited, unpublished, or removed.

Listings

  • Represent a real business or professional you own or are authorised to manage.
  • Use accurate names, categories, contact details, and descriptions - no misleading claims.
  • One listing per business location or professional; do not create duplicates to inflate visibility.
  • Choose the category that best fits; category type (business vs professional) must match your listing.
  • Upload only images you have the right to use. No stock watermarks, offensive, or irrelevant images.

Reviews

  • Write from genuine, first-hand experience.
  • Do not post fake, paid, or incentivised reviews, or review your own or a competitor's business.
  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal data about others.
  • Keep it relevant - focus on the service, not unrelated grievances.

Prohibited content

  • Illegal goods or services, or content that infringes others' rights.
  • Spam, advertising unrelated products, or links to malware or scams.
  • Attempts to manipulate rankings, reviews, or search results.

Reporting & enforcement

You can report content that violates these guidelines. We review reports and may remove content, suspend listings, or terminate accounts. Rankings are computed automatically from review data and are not for sale.

These guidelines supplement our Terms of Service.
